The Mid-Country geographic areas generally include all the neighborhoods north of Putnam Avenue, west of Stanwich Road over to Riversville Road. The area offers mostly one-acre and two-acre zoned properties (RA-1 and RA-2) with some closest to Putnam Avenue in half-acre zoning (R-20) or smaller. Most of the new homes are one-plot projects, not large sub-divisions. Given zoning and building regulations, amenities like pools and tennis courts are found mostly on two-acre or oversized properties. Most of the areas are located on town roads but a handful of private association areas do exist such as Andrew’s Farm, Angus Lane, Bailiwick, Deer Park, Ilona’s Way, Khakum Wood, Rockridge, Sabine Farm, Simmons Lane and Hope Farm, among others. Mid-Country is approximately five minutes to 10 minutes from downtown, the train, shopping and the Merritt Parkway.
