Cos Cob is situated just east of Stanwich Road, north and south of East Putnam Avenue, west of the Mianus River and generally north of Valley Road. Zoning in Cos Cob consists of a complex combination of residential zones. Denser areas are located at Cos Cub's hub with smaller homes and parcels while to the North off of Cat Rock Road and Cognewaugh Road, for example, homes can be on parcels more in the size range of one or two acres (more or less). Cos Cob has two well known single-family neighborhood associations, Old Stone Bridge in the northern section and Coach Lamp Lane to the south-west section of the area. Shopping, I-95 and the Metro-North train station are no more than five to 12-minutes away from any Cos Cob home.
