Greenwich’s Public School educational plane offers 15 public schools - 11 elementary schools, three middle schools and Greenwich High School - and nine private schools.
Public School Requirements:
To enroll in kindergarten a child needs to reach age 5 b y Jan/ I of the child’s kindergarten year and a proof of residency and birth certificate must be provided to the Board of Education.
Parents may opt to wait until the child reaches 6 - if they sign a form at the Board of Education saying they agree to do so. The parents can also elect to wait another year before enrolling the child. But by age 7 the child needs to be either enrolled or the parents nee to sign a form saying the child will be schooled at home.
